Day 2!

Went for a run in this gorgeous weather, then went to the gym and worked on arms as well as more cardio! I’m feeling good! Still have yet to cheat on eating bad food (Heard that the first week is the hardest, so If I make it through this week, I know I will do good here on out!). Also i’m looking for a yoga studio that I can go to. If anyone knows of a yoga studio in the Hudson Valley (New York) PLEASE let me know :)) I used to do Yoga when I was out in Colorado, and I loved it. I went every Monday and it just refreshed my whole mind & body! Great way to start off your week.

Tomorrow is Friday!!! Not only is just a plain old Friday, but I will be going home for the weekend up until Monday!! By the way, home for me is Massachusetts. My niece was born two weeks ago, who I still have yet to meet, & my best friend got induced today, so her baby should be here any time now!!! I’m so excited! <3

I hope everyone is having a great day! =)
Any one else have exciting plans for the weekend?!

May 16th, 2012 fionarebekah: Good like with the healthy lifestyle! Word of advice, start exercising today! Don't even say you'll do it tomorrow, do it today! Healthy eating will become a habit. Only buy foods you know are good for you and that you will eat. Do not shop on an empty stomach!!

Your right!! I should start today! & I will! I’m glad you told me to, because in all reality, me saying I will start friday is just me being lazy! Thankyou for the advice :) It’s much appreciated!

MOTIVATE ME!

I officially decided that as of this Monday (21) I will start my journey of living a healthier and more active lifestyle!

As of today I will no longer eat junk food (cookies, chips, anything you can go buy at a convenient store aka. all the stuff I crave).

No more Soda (Which will be easy, I rarely ever drink soda).

Cutting out alcohol… Which will be hard.. But ever since I got back at school I have been drinking way too much, way too often. No bueno! (I CAN DO IT)

Start working out… Will start either start Friday or Monday!

I’m Pumped!

BUT

I would love for some motivation… Any comments, quotes, tips.. I would love!

Hope everyone is having a great day <3 !!! :)

Overwhelmed? Don’t know where to start? Maybe this guide can help you out! :)
The purpose of this guide is to help you figure out how you should start your new healthy lifestyle and possibly with weight loss since that’s what a lot of us are here for.
Start a journal.Write down your daily food logs, exercise logs, feelings, short-term and long-term fitness and health goals, your progress, why you’re doing this, etc.
Find support.Create a network of support for yourself. Tell your family, friends, acquaintances, and everyone else about what you’re doing. You’re more likely to succeed when you have support.
Find out your BMR and how many calories you should be consuming.Click here for a BMR calculator and Harris Benedict Equation. Everyone’s body is different, so your body’s needs are different as well. Be sure to get enough calories; your body needs the energy.
Make a plan.Write down everything you’re going to do. Stay organized.
Find out what your thing is.It could be running, hiking, canoeing, lifting weights, zumba, yoga, and the list goes on. The key thing is that it has to be enjoyable foryou. If you like it, chances are you’ll continue doing it.
Treat days, not cheat days. It’s okay to indulge. Eating a doughnut now and then won’t kill you; eating one everyday however might eventually lead to diabetes. The vocabulary you choose to use is very important, and this doesn’t limit to just being healthy; it is relevant to life overall. Have a positive mindset.
Start out slow.Take your time. No one becomes successful overnight. You have to work at it.
Rest days once a week, but be careful about allowing yourself too many rest days. You should have a rest day once a week so your muscles have time to heal. However, don’t allow yourself to be lazy and slack off - having two consecutive rest days might cause you to have another rest day, which may eventually lead to a week of not exercising.
Hope this helped you and good luck!
